The Mamo Motorsports V2 ported throttle body for GM LT1-, LT2-, LT4- or LT6-powered cars and trucks has been around for 5 - 6 years now, so we decided to make a few improvements to the design and incorporate them into a CNC-ported version for better productivity and consistency. We are proud to announce that we have released a V3 version!


Common applications include:

  • 2020 - present 6.2 liter Naturally aspirated Chevy C8 Corvette Stingray and E-Ray

  • 2014 - present6.2 liter Naturally aspirated Chevy C7 Corvettes

  • 2015 - present 6.2 liter Naturally aspirated Chevy Camaro 6th Gen

  • 6.2 liter Supercharged C7Z06 Corvettes 2014 to present

The main difference between this new V3 design and the V2 unit is improved airflow (about 20 CFM) and a refined, fully CNC-ported process that provides faster production and better consistency. We invested a ton of time come up with a really effective, good looking part with what could pass as an OEM machined finish. We achieved this by running the CNC feed rate much slower than would would be considered optimum for a shop looking seeking to manufacture the most parts per hour. We take the time to do it right. A program that added 10 minutes per TB in the toolpath created a visually beautiful part, and we decided that's how we want to deliver it to you.

In addition to the substantial gains in peak flow (a 23% gain....over 200 CFM!!), The V3 design produced noticeable gains across the entire curve, netting airflow gains at every throttle position, not just WOT operation.


This is the best sub $500 mod you will ever install on an LT1, LT4 or LT6 powered vehicle! A really poor OEM design allows for significant gains. Ask any of the guys already running my V2 units or just take the time to Google search, and you can verify this.


The images below provide a comparison of what a stock TB and one of Mamo's V3 CNC-ported V3 units looks like with the blade opening. They allow you to better understand and really SEE the difference.....you don't have to be an expert in airflow or fluid dynamics to see the obvious huge gains the new V3 ported TB offers versus stock out of the box GM.


This new throttle body design offers a substantial 23% increase in flow over stock and a similar gain in airspeed as well (that's the winning formula right there!) That's the equivalent flow of a 97 mm blade if the OEM TB shape was retained. For perspective, a 97mm blade has 23% larger cross sectional area than the OEM 87mm blade.

Here's what you can expect from this bolt-on upgrade that takes 10 minutes to install and does not require tuning or PCM calibration to achieve the gains we listed:


  •  Significant gains in peak power....excellent value in HP per dollar. LT1/LT2 cars see 8 - 10 RWHP......LT4 cars (boosted) see about 15 RWHP

  • Eliminate the dreaded off-idle and low-speed dead spot inherent with the flawed design of the OEM TB

  • MUCH more throttle response from idle to WOT

  • Improved tip-in throttle (when you roll into the throttle without downshifting)

  • Smoother more intuitive feel to the throttle (you have to drive with it installed to understand)
